Polymers and Plastics

Polymer and plastics science and technology have met great goals during the last two decades. The discovery of novel composites, the need for lighter, cost effective and bio compatible materials have initiated a new era for polymer and plastics technology.

Modern polymers are expected to come both from oil based and natural sources. Newest agreements on Green House Gases emissions control have turned the industry towards cost effective, minimum GHG emissions and bio degradable materials. This fact, in combination with the rapid development of additive manifacturing and especially 3D printing, is expected to provide significant developments for the whole of polymer industry; from sources, to different synthetic routes and manufacturing facilities. Our team is participating in this technological rally via a number of contributions:

  • Scientific seminars on polymer, plastics and composites science and technology
  • Computational Chemistry predictive tools for material properties
  • R&D projects on demand
  • Theoretical investigations for patenting projects

We are proud to be working with SABIC and NCMS
