Topics of the promotional cost seminars include Advanced Distillation, Introduction to Simulation and Modeling, Advanced Simulation and Modeling, Hydrogen storage technologies, Carbon Dioxide capture and removal, Reactor Design principles, Heat Exchanger fundamentals, Polymer Science and Advances, Engineering Thermodynamics, Adsorption Absorption and Extraction, Ionic Liquids and Energy Fundamentals.

Advanced distillation

Our new distillation course is now available at different venues [Thessaloniki/ Greece, Budapest/Hungary, London/UK, Wien/ Austria] and online [webinar].

Distillation is one of the most important purification and separation technology in chemical plants. Its understanding requires thermodynamics, design, process simulation, fluid flow and chemistry strong background. In this course advanced subjects are discussed [in addition to distillation principles] that include troubleshooting, case studies, design, control and operation.

Separation processes: Extraction, distillation, absorption

Separation processes are some of the most important processes in the chemical, manufacturing and oil and gas industries. Efficient separation leads to high value end products [purity, energy efficient] and lower energy consumption and emissions for the industry. The most important of these processes include extraction, adsorption, absorption and distillations. This course provides details of the scientific principles, design of columns, operation and simulation for the above approaches. Recent advances are breakthroughs are discussed in detail. This course is delivered in person to different venues across Europe [and other selected regions] with a duration of 5 to 7 CPD days AND as a webinar with a duration of 15-20 hours of live training.

Hydrocarbon Cracking and Fluidized Catalytic Cracking simulation and optimization

ON-SITE seminar: Hydrocarbon cracking is one of the vital processes in refineries. Complete understanding leads to ability for design, optimization and control that result to engineering and financial excellence. Environmental regulations, legislation and ethics also call for advanced control of hydrocarbon cracking and minimization of energy consumption and material loss. Catalysis and catalytic cracking processes constitute the cornerstone of hydrocarbon cracking. This scientific seminar focuses on hydrocarbon cracking, catalysis and catalytic processes principles and Fluidized Catalytic Cracking simulation and optimization.

Design and specifications of heat exchangers

This course covers all design and specification aspects of the different types of heat exchangers. Scientific principles, design principles, standards and industrial practices are presented to the attendants. Thermodynamics leading to design and operating specifications are covered in detail. Materials selection and manufacturing methodologies complete this 5-days seminar.

Industrial/ Chemical Process Simulation

Process simulation is a versatile tool used by process engineers to investigate and to carry out preliminary design of chemical plants. This course will give you the opportunity to use process simulation software with confidence and efficacy to save up money and time associated with the engineering activities. This seminar includes hands on training with the use of COCO [or ASPEN for large groups] process simulation tool.

Onshore Offshore in process, operation and maintenance

Onshore and offshore processes exhibit challenges for design, process, operation and maintenance. Some of these challenges are due to the chemical and physical processes involved, the specific devices required, the occupational health and safety requirements and the nature of the facilities themselves.

Reverse Osmosis

Reverse Osmosis is a technology with various applications of tremendous interest; among those applications, desalination of water is critical for many regions in the world. Reverse Osmosis application requires understanding of a plethora of scientific and technical principles which are presented in detail in this scientific seminar.

Analysis and Evaluation of Chemical and Petrochemical industries

Chemical and petrochemical industries comprise different physical and chemical transformations and procedures. These procedures are integrated plant wide in order to achieve optimum transformation efficiency, energy utilization efficiency, sustainability, and constant modification potential.

Biodegradable polymers: approaches and advances

Traditional polymers come from petrochemical industries and they are mostly non biodegradable. This fact contributes to pollution of our planet, with increasing rates. On the other hand, green polymers are biodegradable and do not contribute to the planet’s pollution.

Engineering Thermodynamics

Thermodynamics describe how energy, mass, energy conversion and degradation occurs through physical and chemical processes. Thermodynamics principles and laws govern the efficiency of any process and conversion.

Hydrophobic and Oleophobic coatings

Coatings are used in manufacturing to increase the properties of surfaces against aggressive environments. The single most important case is the preparation of hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings to provide resistance against water and oils, respectively.

Hydrogen storage technologies

Hydrogen is the single most important and prominent fuel of our times; its combustion produces just energy and water, without contributing to global pollution. Hydrogen has a high gravimetric energetic content and the single obstacle for its use in every on board application is related to its efficient storage.

Functional foods and Nutraceuticals

Functional foods according to their generally accepted definition, are any food or food ingredient that may provide a health benefit beyond the traditional nutrients it contains”.

Ionic Liquids

Ionic Liquids [ILs] are a relatively new class of materials with extraordinary properties that has led to their investigation in various scientific fields. In short, ILs are liquid ‘salts’ in room temperature that exhibit almost zero volatility and extremely desired electric properties for various applications.

Simulation of Physical and Chemical processes

Simulations of physical and chemical processes as well as prediction of atomic and molecular properties is the foundation of creating new materials, enhancing properties of existing materials, investigating chemical and physical pathways and understanding and explaining nature in general.

Industrial and Manufacturing processes

Industrial and Manufacturing processes lead to energy and material transformations necessary to our civilization. Advances in these processes govern the cost of final products, effectiveness of transformations, energy efficiency, pollution control, performance optimization of plants and whole new eras.

Novel materials and trends in Chemistry

Novel and multifunctional materials are presented and described. New needs, new requirements, new energy efficiency and global pollution effects create a need for constant development and discovery of novel, multifunctional materials and processes.

Advances in Hydrogen Storage Technology

Hydrogen is the single most important and prominent fuel of our times; its combustion produces just energy and water, without contributing to global pollution. Hydrogen has a high gravimetric energetic content and the single obstacle for its use in every on board application is related to its efficient storage.

OHSAS18001

OHSAS18001 standard aims at increasing the occupational health and safety levels at working places.

ISO9001 for internal auditors

ISO9001 is the single most popular standard used by organizations to exhibit and prove their commitment to excellence, both to clients and authorities.
