Expert opinion for Occupational Health related legal action

Our task was to investigate an alleged health deterioration of an employee in bus transportation services in the US. The victim suffered from cancer, blood poisoning, memory losses and kinetic problems after having reported a number of health related incidents in the bus she was driving. US ministry of health was called on this case since 2012. The victim asked us to investigate and review her symptoms in consideration of the fumes concentrations, time of exposure, frequency of incidents and SDS / GHS of the chemical agents involved.

Our investigation lasted 2 months and it included:

-          Investigation of all chemical compounds used as fuel, refrigerants and lubricants in the buses she used to operate

-          Investigation of all SDS / GHS

-          Review of her medical records

-          Review of relevant statements

It was concluded that the specific bus series exhibited often and serious fume leaking from the bus side that contained a number of hazardous chemicals [in high concentrations]:

-          Benzene

-          Amines

-          Carbon Monoxide

-          A group of cyclic compounds

Our final opinion has been used in US court and helped our client win this case.
