Formulation of novel 3D printing materials

3D printing or rapid prototyping or additive manufacturing is quite possibly the next industrial and social - economic revolution. 3D printing technique offers the possibility of creating any object in consequtive layers, using a 3D printer. Applications are endless; one can think simple objects such as chairs and wheels but most sophisticated objects such as circuits, food [yes!], biologican systems and others can be built! Until now, mostly two or three categories of plastics are mainly used as 3D printing materials. Our task was to evaluate and propose novel 3D printing raw materials for uses in specific applications and uses by common people. Our formulations have been successfully theoretically validated and they are at experimental testing stage [July 2015].
